I once stood in a casting call wearing a rainbow, ruffled, glitter, Fergie for Candies bikini I’d bought with Kohl’s cash.
Everyone else wore optic white.
On the outside, I held my shoulders back. Internally, I questioned my existence.

I didn’t book it, and for a long time, I told myself it was because I needed more confidence (and a sleeker style).
In my head, more polish = more certainty.
But here’s what I’ve noticed since:
Confidence rarely comes before action.
Behavioral research shows that action reduces anxiety more effectively than overthinking (go figure).
You don’t become confident and then move. You move, gather evidence, adjust, and confidence follows.
When I started posting intentionally, I wasn’t fully certain.
When I tested outreach, I wasn’t guaranteed results.
When I added structure, I didn’t feel “ready.”
I moved anyway.
It wasn’t dramatic, high-production, or a pRoVEn pROceSs, but it was consistent.
What if confidence isn’t a prerequisite?
What if it’s accumulated proof?
If you’ve been waiting to feel more sure before making a move, consider this:
What small action would create evidence?
One message.
One follow-up.
One clearer ask.
Confidence grows quietly, after repetition.
When was the last time you acted before you felt fully ready?

glad you’re here :D
